This grand package takes you to Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park majorly to see the rarely-seen species of Mountain Gorillas, and chimpanzees and Canopy walk in Nyungwe Forest along with Akagera National Park, a hub for Rwanda’s Wildlife.
Day 1: Arrival at Kigali Airport.
Pick you up from the airport by our Safari guide and transfer you up to the hotel of residence in Kigali city. Stay at Five to five hotel (hotel), Mille Collines Hotel (Luxury) or Flame Tree Village (Mid-range)
Day 2: Drive to Akagera – evening game drive.
Early in the morning, you will set off to Akagera National Park. Arrive early for lunch at Akagera Game Lodge.
Later you will have an evening game drive around the Park to see different Wild animals, insects and bird species. Stay at Akagera Game Lodge (budget/mid-range) and Rusizi tented camp
Day 3: Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Cruise.
Start with a morning game drive to the northern part of Akagera. While on this excursion, you have a chance to see animals like antelopes, giraffes, bushbucks, and more.
Later return to the lodge for lunch, before you head for the afternoon cruise on Lake Ihema. You will behold abundant aquatic species like hippos, crocodiles and more.
Day 4: Akagera – Drive to Nyungwe National park.
After great encounters in Akagera, you will drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park. It includes en route stopovers at different points of interest like the Butare Museum, Nyanza museum and more. Stay at Gisakura guest House (Budget), Top View Lodge (Mid-range) and Nyungwe Forest Lodge (Luxury).
Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking experience.
Early in the morning after briefing, you will start the tacking journey to the Jungle in search of the Chimpanzee primates.
When you locate them, you are allowed to be in their presence for some time while immersing their behaviours and way of life.
Day 6: Canopy walk in Nyungwe Forest.
Early in the morning, transfer to the park headquarters for the adventurous Canopy walk. You will wander along suspended trails – this excursion offers scenic views of valleys, tree tops and towering volcanoes, in addition to multiple bird species.
Day 7: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park.
Wake up early and start a mind-blowing drive to Volcanoes National Park in the northwestern part of Rwanda.
Visitors are delighted by the numerous natural sceneries within the Park suburbs. Check-in at Muhabura hotel (budget), Le bamboos Lodge (Mid-range) and Mountain Gorilla View Hotel (luxury)
Day 8: Gorilla trekking experience.
Gorilla trekking is a reason alone to pack for Volcanoes National Park in the northwestern part of Rwanda.
Early in the morning, be at the headquarters for the briefing that lets you know more about what’s required and what to do on the Gorilla trek.
After the briefing, the amazing Journey to the Jungle starts in search of the Gorillas. You are allowed to be in their presence for only one hour and after return to the lodge for relaxation.

Day 9: Golden monkey tracking.
Golden monkey tracking grants travellers the chance to meet with the species of the Old World monkey family in the Jungles. You will be first briefed about it before you start the Journey.
After, the journey starts and you will search for these primates in the Jungles until you discover their exact location. After the Golden monkeys, you will transfer to Lake Kivu.
Day 10: Boat cruise – Transfer to Kigali.
You will enjoy a boat cruise up to coffee Island – from here; the views of the surrounding sceneries are awesome. After Lake Kivu, you will drive back to Kigali city for an overnight stay or drop off at the airport.
