Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 – Depart from Kampala to Murchison falls national park

Upon your arrival, you will be picked up by our go safaris Africa’s driver guide from the airport or hotel who will introduce you to the land of natural beauty in Uganda after your breakfast. You will transfer to Murchison falls national park where you will be rewarded with fascinating sights of the pearl’s flora and fauna. The first stopover will be at Ziwa rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking and lunch in Masindi town where you will observe the town’s urban setting. Upon arrival at the park, you will go directly to the top of the falls to view the violent war between water and rocks with a glimpse of the Uhuru falls. Check-in at the reserved hotel for a night’s sleep.

Day 2 – game drive – launch cruise

This morning after a warm cup of tea, you will head for a morning game drive to the northern part of the park. You will be rewarded with the splendorous sights of the roaming wildlife in their natural settling. Expect to see Rothschild, hartebeest, giraffes, warthogs, bird species and the big five mammals. Return for delicious well-spiced cuisine at the lodge, relax and proceed for a lunch cruise. You will have a clear view of the aquatic life such as Nile crocodiles, hippos, and aquatic bird species and a view of the elephants and buffaloes at the shores quenching their thirst. Retire for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 – Depart from Murchison – transfer to Kibale national park

After your meal very early in the morning, you will check out of your hotel drive-through to see missed-out wildlife on the first drive and head to Kibale national park the land of chimpanzees’ man’s closest cousin. You will have en route lunch in fort port a town overlooking the mountains of the moon in the western arm of the great rift fall observe its urban setting and proceed with the journey to the park. You will check in at the reserved hotel for refreshments, dinner and a night’s sleep.

Day 4 – chimpanzee tracking in Kibale forest national park

After a warm meal very early in the morning, you will report to the park headquarters for briefing through the chimps’ code of conduct preparing you for the best jungle adventure in the thrilling rain forest. It’s 6-8 hours of chimp hunt in a group of 8 members as you get to learn about their lifestyle. You will also have an encounter with other primates like the Black and white Colobus Monkeys’, red-tailed colobus monkeys, the rare L’hoest, blue monkey, grey mangabey, pottos, black-faced vervet monkeys, baboons and also bush babies.  The forest is the birth of nature and offers opportunities to birders, butterfly lovers, insects and botanists. Retire for dinner and overnight stay

Day 5 – Transfer to Semliki Wildlife Reserve

Take a scenic drive down the eastern side of Lake Edward this morning after your breakfast to one of Uganda’s oldest protected areas Semliki Wildlife Reserve and one of the best wilderness Reserves. Expect to explore the vegetation of the reserve comprising of the grassy savannah and the acacia combretum woodland which will expose you to wonderful rainforest species like the Borassus palm forest, Riparian Forest gallery and also the short and high grass savannahs. Embark on an evening game drive where you may possibly spot the elephants, buffalos, Uganda kob, warthog, waterbuck and many more including a variety of bird species such as the Ground Hornbill, Red Necked Falcon, Black Billed Barbet, and among others. Check-in at the reserved hotel for a night stay.

Day 6 – visit the Sempaya hot springs

You will have a morning game drive after a delicious warm breakfast to energize you for a long day as you get to see the early morning risers grazing before being hunted by predators. You will get a chance to spot the missed-out wild beast during the drive. Then head for Sempaya hot spring after a delicious mouthwatering lunch. It’s fascinating and thrilling to observe the bubbling, jetting and boiling water from the hot springs at 103 degrees Celsius. Get to see the female and male hot springs which are breathtaking to sight, you will also participate in cooking some eggs and fresh vegetables which will take a few minutes to get ready. You will head to the male hot spring which is some distance scattered from the female one. It’s circular in shape and hotter than the female hot spring. You will head back to the hotel for dinner and a night’s sleep.

Day 7 – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth

After your breakfast marvel at Queen Elizabeth park popular for the highest bio diversity ranging from the open Savannah to Rain forest, dense swamps and beautiful crater lakes to the vastness of Lake Edward. You will be welcomed with sights of wild beasts while passing through the park and these include Uganda Kob, topi, hyena, lion, buffalo, leopard and many more.

You will head back for lunch and later transcend to Lake Katwe a volcanic explosion salt lake and the major source of salt extraction and production in Uganda. You will take a clear scenic view of the two craters which is Lake Katwe and Nyamunuka on your way. You will get to learn about the process of salt extraction and how men and women transport it from the dugout wood-demarcated areas on wooden pallets to the banks. Return for dinner, refresh and retire for a night.

Day 8 – Game drive & Launch Cruise along the Kazinga Channel

This morning after breakfast, you will take a game drive in savannah park and expect to spot the early risers in the park. The driver will take you along the Kasenyi track and the Queen’s mile with possible sightings of the big five expect to see the rhinos, Warthogs, hyenas, banded mongoose, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, Topi and many more. You will return for lunch and head for a launch cruise along the Kazinga channel and into Lake Edward with the highest concentration of Hippos and Nile crocodiles. Later have a spectacular view of animals as they drink on the shores. The cruise also offers an excellent platform for photography besides game viewing, bird watching and sea breeze experience. Day 9 – Transfer to Bwindi National Park

After an appetizing meal at dawn, transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park via the Ishasha sector through Kihihi town. Expect to encounter a variety of primate species in the tropical rainforest but most of the jungle ape man’s closest cousin and the largest primate species. Check in at the reserved hotel and have lunch then prepare for a Batwa forest experience in the evening hours. You will be warmly welcomed by the Batwa pygmies with their dances and drama and learn about their day-to-day lifestyle as well as get to taste their well-prepared cuisine. Return for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10 – Gorilla Tracking

You will wake up very early in the morning for breakfast and be driven to the park headquarters for a briefing about the gorilla code of conduct by UWA staff. With the help of a game ranger in a group of 8 members, you will be led into the misty impenetrable rainforest down the gorilla trails. While in the gorilla’s natural habitat you will get exposed to numerous wildlife species, plant species and a variety of birds. The time speculated while on this gorilla adventure is 2-8 hours which will provide positive results at the end of the trek. Always carry packed lunch and proper trekking types of equipment like rain jackets and boots. After a successful trek, you will be rewarded with a gorilla trekking certificate. Nevertheless, at the end of the day, it is very appealing. Retire for dinner and overnight stay

Day 11: Transfer to Kampala

This very morning after an early breakfast hit the road for Kampala. You will be rewarded with splendorous Enroute attractions that may include magnificent flora and fauna. Time allowing, embark on souvenir shopping or proceed to Kampala and your safari ends upon your arrival.
