Day 1: Kigali to Volcanoes National Park – Gorilla Trekking
Early Morning: Transfer from Kigali to Volcanoes National Park
Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Kigali. Enjoy a scenic 2.5-hour drive to Volcanoes National Park through Rwanda’s “Land of a Thousand Hills.” Upon arrival at the park headquarters in Kinigi, you’ll be briefed by the park rangers about the day’s gorilla trekking experience.
Gorilla Trekking Experience
After the briefing, you’ll embark on a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking adventure. The trek can last anywhere from 1 to 4 hours, depending on the location of the gorilla family you are tracking. As you navigate the thick forest, your experienced guide will share insights into the flora, fauna, and the life of the mountain gorillas.
When you find the gorillas, you’ll spend an awe-inspiring hour observing their interactions and behavior. Watch as they feed, groom, and care for each other under the watchful eye of the silverback. This intimate encounter will leave you with unforgettable memories.
Afternoon: Relax and Explore Musanze Town
After your gorilla trek, you’ll return to the starting point where you’ll receive a certificate for your participation. You’ll then be driven to your lodge in Musanze, where you can relax and unwind. Later, you can explore Musanze town, which offers local markets, cultural experiences, and stunning views of the surrounding volcanoes.

Day 2: Golden Monkey Trekking and Transfer to Kigali

Afternoon: Transfer Back to Kigali
