Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe & Transfer to Kibale Forest

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, meet your Go Safaris Africa guide for a briefing on your 5-day Uganda primates safari. Drive to Kibale Forest National Park, known as the primate capital of Africa. Along the way, enjoy scenic views of Uganda’s countryside, tea plantations, and crater lakes. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and relax.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Swamp Walk

After an early breakfast, head into Kibale Forest for an exciting chimpanzee tracking experience. Follow expert trackers as they lead you through the dense forest to find these fascinating primates. Watch them as they play, groom, and interact in their natural habitat.
In the afternoon, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a guided nature walk, where you’ll spot more primates, birds, and stunning flora.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Arrive in Bwindi in the evening, check into your lodge, and relax as you prepare for the next day’s gorilla trekking adventure.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest

Today is the highlight of your Uganda primates safari—gorilla trekking in Bwindi. After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before trekking deep into the forest to find a gorilla family. Once you locate them, spend an unforgettable hour observing their behavior, taking photos, and enjoying this once-in-a-lifetime encounter.
After trekking, return to your lodge for relaxation or visit a nearby community for a cultural experience.

Day 5: Return to Entebbe & Departure
